JI/CDM Workshop in Vienna

Yulia Kiryeyeva, from Agrinergy Ltd, UK, attended the Austrian JI/CDM workshop, entitled “Harnessing the Potential of present and future Carbon Markets”. This event was hosted by Kommunalkredit Public Consulting, a company that manages the Austrian JI/CDM Programme on behalf of the Austrian Ministry of Environment.

Yulia was one of approximately 150 participants, from over 20 nations, who attended the event. She gave a presentation and participated as a member of a panel (as demonstrated in the picture below – 6th from left) which was specific to “Maximising Kyoto Carbon vintages pre-2012”. She was alongside 24 other international high-level speakers from public authorities, verifiers, international financing institutions, project developers and other key players in the carbon market. Many topics were presented and discussed throughout the three days, including the hot topic of the Copenhagen Conference (COP 15), and current and possible future progression in the international carbon market.

The 7th Austrian JI/CDM Workshop is due to be held in January 2011.
