3rd CDM Project issued with CERs
20th February 2007
Following the Executive Board Meeting on the 20th of February the RSCL CDM project for grid based bagasse cogeneration was issued with 77 468 Certified Emission Reductions (CERs).
This is the third project of Agrinergy’s for which CERs have been issued and many more are in the pipeline.
The CDM project consists of the
installation of a high pressure boiler and a 22MW turbine generator
at the RSCL sugar factory Tamil Nadu, India. The installation will
allow the factory to deliver GHG emission neutral electricity to the
Tamil Nadu grid.
The CERs have been sold to the Republic of Austria and will be used by that country to help it meet its Kyoto commitment.
