First Agrinergy project in Thailand receives letter of approval from Thai government

A CDM project that Agrinergy is working on was included in the first batch of CDM projects issued Letters of Approval (LoA) from the Thai Designated National Authority (DNA). The project is the Khon Kaen Sugar Power Plant in the Khon Kaen province of Thailand.
This represents an important
step for all concerned. The lack of formal project approval process
from the Thai government has to date been a key factor constraining
the uptake of CDM projects in Thailand. We expect that the number
of emission reduction projects in Thailand will now accelerate, and
Agrinergy looks forward to playing an active role in the development
of the CDM potential in Thailand.
